[CC] 00:14:57 A big boost for affordable housing in Los Angeles. A new $100 million trust fund will spur the development for housing for low income tenants. Mayor Antonio Villaraigose made the announcement with officials from Enterprise Community Partners. That helped create this, the Yankee Apartments. Villaraigosa said: " It will spur the creation of affordable housing by removing a major financial obstacle for builders." Joining the mayor was former senator John Edwards, a supporter of affordable housing. Today's grant is funded by a variety of financial and community institutions, and it is expected to create 6,000 to 8,000 new affordable units over the next 10 years. 00:15:46
